Election or Selection?

Starting since June 27, official campaign for Cambodian PM has just begun with many many people are going to the road with flags, micros, sound system and many more things. They drive the car, trucks and motorbikes along the road with accompanying by polices. It looks like everything going really nice and happy.

I don’t know what will happen during the election which will happen in July, but I think, there’ll nothing changes in terms of leader and political situation. From times to times, we still have the same face of our PM and it will continue just like that.

It’s more likely “SELECTION” than “ELECTION”. I want to see a change for Cambodia, Cambodian people and for each and everyone of us. We need to grow up, strong and enjoyable life.


Good Managers – Means Something More Than Just Pointing

There are so many kind of managers, there are some good and boring managers. But to become a good manager would never been easy. It needs skills, leaderships, management skills and relationships. Most of managers are leading their company/staffs with their real experiences, their skill and their guidance. They leads people by examples.

Leadership is really important, but it is just about of having it. It is about how will we lead the people with skills and respect. To get the respect from staffs, a leader needs think and work a lot, not just sitting and pointing them to do things without any clear guidance.

These are some tips that I’ve learned:

  1. Listening: A leader need to have a very good active listening skill, not just arguing or fighting. Leader needs to listen their staff’s opinion really hard and thinking/exploring solutions. Feedbacks from staffs are really important because it is the way that lead leaders to the place they never do before. ” Listening and Thinking”….
  2. Planning: From the feedbacks of our staffs, let’s pick up the pen and list down possible solutions. No need to be perfect, but list down as much as you can. Sometimes, silly solutions contribute the best result.
  3. Execute the Plan: Discuss with staffs about the solutions you’ve listed and evaluate it. Execute it by you and your staffs together. You need to lead your staffs/team to do it, not just leave the plan to them. ” DO IT”…
  4. Celebration with your staffs/team: Reward or celebration the result with your staffs/team. This is the only chance for you to make very close relationship with your staffs, so don’t miss it.
  5. Motivation: It is very important. A good leader, he knows how to motivate people to do their job and to really looking for any other opportunities. Motivation means a lot. It can makes people contribute their result without any boring feeling or any complaining. They will work with their heart and their soul. The will put their everything on their work. So, please motivate your staffs no matter their commit mistakes or deliver results. “Motivate Them To Deliver What We and Team Wants”

Phnom Penh’s Traffic Jam’s Getting Worst

Since 2003 I knew that Bangkok is the only city in South East Asia that has very bad traffic jam situation and everyone knew about it. But now, Phnom Penh is getting even worst while everyone seems to care about traffic light. No matter it is red color or green color they will just drive/ride the vehicle. Here, I don’t mention about yellow color of traffic light because no one will care about it here and it will sooner or later be eliminated from the list.

Look into this picture below you’ll understand how bad traffic in Phnom Penh is. No one care about the light, they only care about the ride and that’s the cause of an average of 6 people dies everyday in Cambodia.


Cambodian Red Cross has worked together with schools in Phnom Penh to post some students at each every cross-road where there is traffic-light to really control the travelers, but sometimes, those students got piss and I feel very sorry for them.

Speaking about driving. So many many Cambodian teenagers they’re just so happy to ride their motorbike along the road with no helmet on their fragile-head. Come on, your head is so just easy to be fragile. It was made from bones and skin, very breakable then. Please be careful because you’re not just the bright of your family but also the future of our country then. Don’t let a little mistake to destroy your bright future. I hope you guys will understand what I am saying here.

Things That All Companies Need To Be Fixed

Business is changing every seconds. Sometimes good and sometimes bad. Sometimes up and sometime we face the decline. That’s the life of business. We cannot predict it.

When we’re running business or operating a company, we’ll face all of those issues which we’ll never escape or even fix it if we don’t know its insight. But no matter how much business/company we’re operating, we’ll face these simple issues/problems:

  1. Business Performance: It is the most important part because we cannot survive we cannot deliver the performance for our company. The performance down means we’re dying as well. But how can we drive it move upward? This though question will reflex to what are we doing to support and solve the issues. We should look back into 2 different ways: Our Marketing Plan and Our Staff. Do we really understand about our market situation, our opportunities, our issues? How about our internal staffs, do they understand the concepts of our marketing plan? Do they try enough to really deliver the number? Do they well understand about the product profiles?
  2. Human Resource: This is becoming a bigger problem if we are not care enough for our staffs and that become the part of HR department who really care about this issues, but it doesn’t mean that it is only HR who really need to care about this, but our managers should play a part of it too. Care our staffs more and they will happy more to make a miracle for our company.
  3. Give People A Chance: Believe me, no one will work for you if you never show them that they’ll get something better. Giving people a chance to really show themselves that they’re good and a part of our company. We need to make them think that they’re a part and an important part of the company. Give people to try something new, excitement and achievable. Do not left people behind or just think that they’re just our staffs.

That’s my experiences during this 4 years of my career and I reserve that many many companies are just thinking that they staffs are just staffs and that feeling making people move from one to another companies without any acceptable reasons.

To grow the business we need to take our staffs as an important part of our growing business.

On one side of the river, there’s a phone number scrawled on a piece of plastic affixed to a tree; if you need to cross, you call the number, and hope that the ferry operator isn’t too busy to come. Thankfully he came within 10 minutes or so when I called. 50 cents later I was on my way.

បើនិយាយពីទស្សនៈរបស់ប្រជាជនទូទៅវិញ អោយតែនិយាយពីការងារក្នុងជួររដ្ឋាភិបាលគឺ គែនឹងមិនគឹតទៅដល់ប្រាក់បៀរវត្សន៍អី្វឡើយ តែបែរជាគឹតទៅដល់ចំណួលសរុបទៅវីញ។ សួរថាតើរដ្ឋាភិបាលមាន ប្រាក់ពីណាមកអោយប្រាក់បៀរវត្សន័ដល់បុគ្គលិកខ្លួន រាប់សិបលានរៀលនោះ គឺអ្នកទាំងអស់នោះជាមនុស្សពុករលួយ មនុស្សកេងប្រវ័ញ្ញ។
